Converting unused tee times into money!
Coming up on 14 years in operation, the Golf Passport program continues to grow with more than 80,000 rounds of golf played last year, generating more than $4 million in green fee revenue for participating clubs.
Since its humble beginnings in 2002 when the program featured just 35 clubs in Queensland, Golf Passport now has nearly 230 participating clubs throughout Australia, including many private clubs and championship courses.
The program is designed to increase course yield by converting unused tee times into green fee revenue at no cost to the club, and without interfering with member play and other course commitments.
In addition, the program generates revenue for the clubs through equipment hire, merchandise, food and beverage sales etc., as well as new membership prospects as a result of the ongoing publicity the club receives on a national and soon international basis.
A unique feature of the Golf Passport program is how it’s marketed through large customer groups and membership organisations, using golf to add value to their core business offering.
This strategy not only provides the people who use the Golf Passport, but also protects the integrity of the golf clubs brand being an important part of the program.
People pay an annual membership fee to access the benefits provided by the program, which in turn enables Golf Passport to provide the wide range of services at no cost to the club.
For over 10 years Golf Passport was published by Teamfore Golf as a book. Recently Teamfore Golf took on a technical partner to form Golf Rewards P/L, enabling the Golf Passport program to be wholly online providing more benefits to participating clubs, affiliated groups and individual members.

“The Golf Passport is a ‘no-brainer’ to be involved with, now our 7th successive year. It allows us the freedom to tailor our offers to directly fit into our downtimes and we are continually seeing users who clearly enjoy the benefits of being a Golf Passport member. The Links Kennedy Bay, WA
Long Island Country Club has been involved with the Golf Passport for 6 years and have been very happy with the increase in revenue from both green fees and food and beverage revenue, especially during traditional quiet times. We’ve also had a number of members join the club after first experiencing the venue through the Golf Passport which has been an added bonus. Long Island Country Club, VIC
