evian® is delighted to announce that Lydia Ko is a new global sports ambassador for the brand.

A true prodigy, the golf champion (aged 18) already has a number of golf records and performances to her name. As the youngest world number 1 in golfing history (on either the men’s or women’s tours), the youngest player to win a Major (The Evian Championship 2015), followed by youngest Rolex Player of the Year (in 2015), Lydia Ko dominates women’s golf, instilling it with her passion for life and her boldness. Voted by Time Magazine (2014) as one of the 100 most influential people in the world, she is an icon whose wide-reaching influence also stems from her rich multiculturalism and cosmopolitan lifestyle. Of Korean origin, with New Zealand nationality, she lives in the USA and travels from one international golf course to the next throughout the year.

Lydia Ko’s youthful enthusiasm, the way in which she humbly lives sporting excellence to the full, the way she connects with others and her global footprint resonate very much with evian®’s Live Young spirit and its commitment to a balanced and healthy lifestyle

“All over the world, the evian® brand diffuses a spirit of youthfulness. A youthfulness of body and mind that is an expression of a healthy lifestyle, a chosen attitude to life! In addition to her outstanding sporting talents, Lydia Ko is someone who is refreshing and spontaneous, who embodies the brand’s values to perfection”, Véronique Penchienati, Chairman Evian Volvic World, is pleased to comment.

Lydia Ko, delighted to be representing evian® says: “I have so many amazing memories at the Evian Championship and now to be an evian® ambassador is very special and such a thrill. I’m very proud to be part of such a pure and global brand like evian®.”

evian® & sport

Once again this year, as has been the case for over 30 years, evian® will be supporting sport at leading international events, in tennis, including Wimbledon (27 June – 10 July 2016) and the US Open (29 August – 11 September 2016), and in golf, including The Evian Championship (15-18 September 2016). With its expertise in using hydration to benefit sporting performance, the brand is also involved with athletes who are among the leaders in their sporting discipline.
