Micropowers PowerPlus Golf certified with Golf Australia

POSTED ON December 9, 2013 @ 10:00 am

Micropower’s new online web based golf management system, PowerPlus Golf, joins PowerGolf 7 (PG7) in being certified for Golf Australia new handicap system that will go live late January 2014!

PowerPlus Golf is Micropower’s next generation golf management system. It is a version upgrade to the long serving and reliable Power Golf 7 with no additional license fees.

Micropower has incorporated the latest technologies to deliver a market leading upgrade to the current golf system, while maintaining all of the benefits of deep integration with the Micropower back office software solutions. PowerPlus Golf is live at a number of clubs, with more coming shortly. The upgrade rollout will reach full swing for our 200+ PG7 clubs after the new Golf Australia handicapping system commences.

PowerPlus Golf will keep you way ahead of the game with all the tools to make your golf management team’s job quicker and easier than ever before. As an accredited Tier 3 software provider, Micropower has a live interface with Golflink, allowing visitor information to be downloaded instantly.

PowerPlus Golf provides everything you need to run competitions, manage timesheets for your entire day and enter scores electronically. PowerPlus Golf uses the latest in character recognition technology to quickly and accurately scan a player’s scorecard and calculate the score. This scanning feature is particularly remarkable in that players can fill in the card as they normally would, using pen or pencil, on a traditional card in a large and easy to read format.

Craig Kinross (CEO of iseekgolf.com) said “We are proud of our rich heritage in golf in Australia having started out providing golf systems to clubs in 1986.  The new software brings all of the benefits of an online system, while substantially improving the user experience through our unique “Point of Golf” interface.  We will introduce further innovations to golf clubs in coming months focused on mobility, social media, data aggregation, visual analytics and member engagement.”

PowerPlus Golf will be offered as three distinct options. Current customers will fit in to one of these categories dependant on their current PG7 functionality.
