The Royal Sydney Golf Club needs little introduction as it is universally recognised as being at the pinnacle of membership sporting clubs in Australia.
It is however more than one of Australia’s very best golf courses, as members enjoy quality facilities for tennis, lawn bowling, squash, croquet, swimming and all that the well equipped fitness centre offers, as well as high quality guest accommodation, food and beverage and clubhouse facilities.
Reporting to the Board, the General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of the Club’s operations and activities and the maintenance of its standards and traditions.
Additionally, as the Club will shortly embark on a significant capital works program, the General Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the least disruption to members and Club activities during this redevelopment.
The General Manager must combine senior management experience with good financial and commercial judgement, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, an outgoing personality, respect for the history and traditions of the Club and a genuine interest in all that the Club offers to its members. Experience gained in a membership club with strong traditions and history, a 5 star integrated hospitality venue or a high quality service business will be well regarded. Integrity, inherent charm, a calm demeanour and excellent leadership skills will further define the next General Manager of this prestigious Club.
