Recognising that pace of play is growing as an issue in many public golf facilities in Australia, impacting visitation and customer satisfaction, the Golf Business Forum has secured Bill Yates as a speaker at this year’s event being held in Melbourne 25-26 July.
Bill Yates, “the Guru of Pace of Play”, has a simple philosophy to help golf courses improve: know where you are, find out where you could be, and build a plan to get you there.

Founder of the transformational Pace Manager Systems® suite, Bill has dedicated decades to the analysis of how managers can speed up play, improve the golf experience, and increase profits. He has helped more than 150 public, private, municipal and resort courses around the world lower their round times and improve customer value and revenue.

Bill has been featured in many of the major golf publications, and he has been a keynote presenter at premiere golf conferences throughout the US and in Europe. He has consulted with the courses at St Andrews in Scotland, the cradle of golf, and has assisted the Royal & Ancient Golf Club in managing the pace of play for the British Open and British Amateur Championships, and the United States Golf Association in managing the US Open and the US Women’s Open.
Golf Industry Central is assisting Bill while he is in Australia over the next couple weeks. Bill does have a free day next week to work with any courses that are serious about improving the experience for your members and guests. This improved experience will increase retention and drive higher yields on green fees. Contact Mike Orloff @ 0415 682 259 for more information.
Pace of play is one of many issues that drive business performance for golf facilities. The Golf Business Forum is bringing experts together with owners, operators and influencers in the golf industry for the first time in Melbourne in July 2016. Head to www.golfbusinessforum.com.au for more information.

Delegate registrations open very soon, and opportunities remain open for industry partners to get involved.
