Win a round with Paul Gow
An Opportunity for a Lucky Golfer & a friend to PLAY A TOURING PGA PRO.
BestGreens.com.au, the new golf course search engine website for social
golfers has launched an Australian first.
A competition that allows the ‘every day social’ golfer the chance to play
PGA Tour Professional, Paul Gow, at the beautiful St Michaels Golf Course
in Sydney on Monday 6th December 2010. The winner will receive $5,000 and
the opportunity to TAKE A GOLF BUDDY with them. In addition, all travel and
accommodation expenses will be covered. The best thing is: There is no
catch. Anyone who plays golf is eligible. The winners will also have the
chance to chat with Gowie about life on the tour and also get some great
golf tips to improve their game.
Paul Gow has been a stalwart of Australian golf for over 16 years and is
one of the most enduring golfers this country has produced. He has played
with Tiger, Phil, Norman and Ernie Els on the US PGA TOUR in 136 events and
won close to US$2 million and another US$1 million on the Nationwide tour.
Paul started his golfing career playing the Australian Tour in 1994 and
went on to play the US PGA tour in 2001. He continues to play the tour with
close friends Peter Lonard, Tripp Isenhour and Greg Chalmers and still
shares the record for the most birdies, 32, on a PGA event. Paul has been
based in Orlando, Florida while playing the tour but has recently returned
to Australia where he is to host the Golf Show on channel HD1.
When Bestgreens initially contacted Paul and told him about the website and
how it aims to promote golf amongst social golfers, he was keen to jump on
board. He is aware of the growing number of golfers who are giving up on
their memberships and are now casual golfers and sees this competition as
injecting some excitement into the sport.
About BestGreens.com.au:
Best greens offers all golfers the opportunity to search for over 1,500
courses on one database, making it more comprehensive than Google or Yellow
Pages. By having involved golfers in each step of the website’s
construction, the result is its simplicity. Search and find your course,
read what others think about it and play your game.
Australian golfers continuously demand excitement and difference when it
comes to their game. We hope this new site and this exiting competition
goes some ways to meeting that demand. For more info on Gowie, and to Enter
