James Corden and his global phenomenon Car-pool Karaoke may have some new competition from golf legend Gary Player and a host of pro golfers, sporting legends and celebrities.

Joining the 18-time Major Champion earlier this week in Abu Dhabi for a star-studded – and inaugural – session of (golf) Cart-pool karaoke at the Gary Player Invitational at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club was Boyzlife duo, Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy; Ryder Cuppers Chris Wood and David Howell, fellow South African Thomas Aiken; the Ladies European Tour’s Caroline Martens and Beth Allen, who last year took top honors at the first Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open; former South African rugby captain, Victor Matfield, Emirati comedian Ali Al Sayed, and model and TV presenter, Jodie Kidd.

A fun addition to what is the most successful charity golf event series in the world, and featuring the inspired surrounds of the Gary Player designed Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, the goal of the one-off Cart-pool Karaoke session is to help raise awareness of The Gary Player Invitational and work the event is doing in helping The Player Foundation reach its goal of raising $100 million USD for charities worldwide by 2025. Abu Dhabi’s second hosting of the event on 6 February was held in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and raised funds for UAE-based Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs.
